Emily Stevenson

My father grew up with a fluency disorder and found his voice and gained confidence, as others helped him through that difficult time. I wanted to help others gain the confidence and skills needed to be successful and fulfilled. After I completed my graduate program, my husband and I moved to Clarksville.  After meeting the staff at More Than Words…Therapy Services, I knew I was where I was supposed to be! I enjoy being a part of building up someone’s skills and confidence to a point they begin communicating more often and more effectively. I also love seeing a child begin to understand a concept or use words for the first time. Seeing their road to progress, whether fast or slow, is very rewarding.I have really enjoyed working with my awesome co-workers and the wonderful clients at More Than Words!

Emily Stevenson MA, CCC-SLP, graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders and the University of Memphis with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology.
